STOLEN GOODS
THREE MEN f6r SENTENCE
(By Telegraph.—Pres; Association.) CHBISTCHUBCH, This Day. Charged with breaking and entering a warehouse ,in Wordsworth street and stealing a quantity of goods, Clarence Ha»old Gardner (28), Francis Joseph Miles (19), Eric Frank Hamburger (20), and Walter Bastrick (20) ' pleaded guilty and were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. , Three of the men also admitted stealing goods from a tobacconist's shop at Addington. 'Answering a plea'by counsel, the Magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley said:—"l don't want it to get about that men can commit crimes of this sort because they arc out of work. It only makes their position worse."
