OLD NAVALS CLUB

The Old Navals Defence Rifle Club fired the first shoot of the second series at Trenlliam on Saturday afternoon over 300 and COO yards ranges. The shoot' also counted for the championship and Rabe" Cup. Conditions were fairly good for short range shooting, therefore some good scores were recorded. President W. M'Bain was in one of his scoring moods, and registered 04 of£ the gun; he was unlucky in not getting a possible at 500 yds. P. W. Congreve also ,shot well to score 91. The best scores at 300 yds .were J. Pitt 40, W. M'Bain 45, and O. Lawton 45. At the 600 yds range, W. M'Bain was top with 49, followed by P. W. Congreve 47, A. Henderson 46, R. Swauger, W. Bell, and K. L. Press, 45 each. The best aggregate gun scores were: W. M'Bain 94, P. W. Congreve 91, C. Lawton 88. The scores are as follow:—
