BOWLING
SATURDAY'S PLAY
Since 1912 a competition for the Jerusalem Cup has been carried on between the Khandallah and Jobnsonville clubs. It was presented by Mr. Jerusalem, who was president of the Johnsonville Club in that year. The object o£ the donor is engraved on the cup in the following words: "Presented in Good Friendship and Rivalry." The cup, o£ silver, is one foot in height and is eight inches across, and is a fine specimen of the jeweller's handicraft. It is surmounted by a miniature of a bowler in the attitude or delivering a bowl. An ebony base supports the cup, aud has affixed to it medallions and silver pktes stating the winner each year. Khundallah has won it on ten occasions and Johnsonville on three; the former club now holds it. On Saturday last the test was" again started for the season, on the Khandallah green. To obtain possession one club must win two competitions out of three.
