COMPLIMENT RETURNED.
After the Minister of Labour (the Hon. S. G. Smith) had stated to the House of Kepresentatives yesterday that the Government would reconsider some of the views expressed on the Unemployment Bill, Mr. H. S. S. Kyle (Eeform, Eiccarton) said Wat it was quite-evident that the Government was still under the control of the Labour Party.
Mr. W. E. Parry (Labour, Auckland Central): "Get that set to music."
Mr. Smith: "The honourable gentleman need not talk any longer because the Minister of Labour does not place any reliance on what ho says." -
Mr. Kyle: "I return the compliment." He maintained that the Government should take more responsibility with the Bill.
