SALARY TO BE RAISED
BRITISH PRIME MINISTER British Official Wireless. EUGBY, 30th July. Pointing out that his remuneration is leßs than that of two of hia colleagues, a Select Committee of Parliament unanimously recommends that the Prime Minister's salary be increased without delay from'£sooo'to £7000. The Committee adds that the existing scale of salaries is in some cases anomalous and in others inadequate, and a, proper adjustment would not involve any large increase of expenditure. Nevertheless the Committee feels that the present time is inopportune for a general revision. .:
