A WET JULY
BLACK MONTH FOR CRICKET LONDON, 31st 'July. The extent to which July has been a black month for cricket 6wing to the. weather is indicated in "Sporting Life," which says that country clubs, have suffered, and are heavy losers. Yorkshire had only one day's play in the last- three matches. There have been sixteen country matches in which no decision has been reached on the first innings. The Australians' and M.C.C. receipts were depleted. Players also suffered individually.
