However, their shots were whisked away from their objective and returned by the southerly. Restieux came' in for a good deal of battering, but lie managed to withstand it until the welcome sound of the half-time whistle. The conditions were reversed in the second spell, and Technical was attacked strongly by Island Bay. It was not long before Thomas, who played splendidly throughout the game, sent in a ball not more than an inch below the Technical crossbar. Stewart kicked the ball well into Island Bay's territory several tunes, but he never reached a stage at which he could shoot for goal. The second spell ended with the score Island Bay 1, Technical Old Boys 1. According to Charity Cup rules au extra ten minutes each way was played. However, the score was not added to at the end of twenty minutes' hard play. Mr. B. Martin was the referee.
