NATIONAL MUTUAL FIGURES.
Mr. W,. A. Martin, manager for New Zealand of the National Mutual Life Association, has just received a cable from the head office of the association at Melbourne that the new business figures for the year ended 30th September last total £9,888,350. -
On a charge of fighting in Willis street last evening, David Fox, aged.3o, who did not appear, was fined £2, the amount of his bail. Constable Gleeson said he saw Fox push another man up against some scaffolding and punch him on the nose. The Lower Hutt Volunteer Fire Brigade acknowledges a donation of £3 3s towards the brigade's recreation fund from Mr. B. E. Saville, in recognition of services rendered at a recent fire.
