j . PABIS, 31st October. M. Clementel has abandoned his attempt to form a Ministry owing to the Radical-Socialists demanding that they should first approve of his programme. LONDON, 31st October. "The Times" Paris correspondent reports that M. Tardieu has provisionally accepted the task, of forming a Cabinet.
M. Tardieu was Minister of the Interior, in M. Briand's last Cabinet. During the war he became High Commissioner for France in the United States, and he played an important part in drafting tho Treaty of Versailles.
