I Tlie oldest in Welington, the ■Wellington Amateur Athletic Club, in the report covering last year's activities, shows that the success of its members in the past was well maintained. For the club the season was a most successful one. The Dewar Shield was won again, and members fared well at the Wellington provincial championships, the club retaining the M'Vffly Shield for most points. Individual winners at this meeting were:—C. At the New Zealand championships, the report continues, Wellington Club members also played an important part in the winning for the province of the championship shield. Then, too, as a result of the contests with the Wancranui Club, the Wellington Club representatives regained possession of the Jubilee Shield.

"Once again the cycling section of the club was strong, and this past season has seen Milton Gane come into the limelight. Hiding with consistency, he won the all-round championship by a large margin, and delighted the public with his riding. J. Carswell, D. Toomer, W. Bray, ana C. Flett rode with distinction for the club. Several junior cyclists hare signified their intentions of riding this season, and the cycling section is in a promising stage. B. Toomer, and M. Dealing with the activities of the lady athletes, the report refers to the increased interest taken in this branch of the sport as the result of the advent of another club, ana then adds: "The club members were able to hold their own, and in relay racing performed -with.! distinction.
