NEWTOWN CLUB
The thirty-sixth annual general meeting of the Newtown Bowling Club was held on Wednesday. Captain P, A. Peterson (president) was in the chair. The president read the annual report. Membership now stood at 84 as against tho previous year's 88, and new members would be most -welcome. The club had. been represented in outside tournaments. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Captain P; A. Peterson; vice-president, Mr. W. M'Lay; Honorary secretary, Mr. W. Chegwidden; honorary treasurer, Mr. J. W. Salmon; management committee, Messrs. C. W. Barker, R, Blenkinsop, G. Haigh, F. Hunt, S. Phillips, A. Priddle, H. Sexton, G. L. Rae, W. C. Read; delegate to Bowling Centre, Mr. W.
