LYALL BAY

The seventeenth annual meeting of the Lyall Bay' Bowling and Tennis Club was held last night, Mr. G. H. Noad presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet, which ivere adopted, showed a slight increase in membership, but a perusal of the accounts showed that a considerably largermembership was imperative. The year's workings showed a loss of £-71 6s sd. The loss, however, was not so real as it seemed, as £44 Is had been exepnded on the pavilion roof, arid it. also included £21.5s 6d on interest which had been made necessary to bring payments into line with the existing mortgage date.
