LONDON, Bth February. The death.is announced of Sir Alexander Sprot, Bart., C.M.G., M.P. (Conservative) for Northern Lanark. A by-election' Will be necessary to fill the vacancy. Tho figures for the last election were: Sir Alexander Sprot (C), 13,880; J. Sullivan, M.8.E., (Lab.) 11,852. : "
The death of Mr. Arthur Willcsley Dean, Conservative M.P. for Holland-with-Boston (Lincolnshire) will necessitate a by-election to fill the vacancy. The figures for the last election were: A. W. Dean (C), 15,459; G. E. B. White (Lab.), 10.689; R. P. "Winfrey (L.), 6413.
