AUSTRALIAN POTATO CROP.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, 27th January. The Minister of Agriculture has granted an extension of time for the marketing of new potatoes till 2Sth February, applicable to tubers grown in New South Wales and those imported from other Slates, with the object of relieving the effects of the potato shortage. The exceptionally dry season on the mainland and in Tasmania has caused the potato crop to be late and light, resulting in high market prices.
