FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from thier London agents, dated 25th January:—"Frozen meat quotations (prices on a "delivered" basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): Down lamb, 28/42, 10% d per lb; best North Island, 28/42, 10% d per lb; ordinary North Island,' 28/42, none offering; second quality lamb, 9Vzd per lb; best North Island wethers, 48/64, 6 7/ ad per lb; best North Island wethers, 04/72, 6%d per lb; ordinary North Island wethers, 48/64, 6%d per lb; North Island ewes, 48/64, s%d.per lb; North Island ewes, 64/72, 4%d per lb. New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/220, 4%d per lb. As compared with last week's quotations Down and best lamb are %d per lb lower, others unchanged. Best wethers and North Island ewes are %d per lb lower. The spot market is weaker, and the demand is limited."
