COMPLAINT ABOUT DROP

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
Replying to a deputation of poultry fanners, the Hon. G. W. Forbes (Minister of Lands and Agriculture) said that he would go into the- question of permitting the use of a 141b pack for eggs for export, with the officers of his Department. The deputation stated that there had been a serious drop of 2d to 3d per dozen during • the past six weeks. Producers were confronted with having to realise on % some of their young birds in order to pay their food bills. They were asking for aid from the Government in preventing them from being thrown back on to tho Labour market.
