ONE-SIDED EXHIBITION

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, 12th September. The New Zealand All Blacks. defeated a combined West Coast-Buller team by 40 points to 3 to-day. The weather was fine, and the ground in good order. The attendance was 2000. The game was very one-sided, the All Black backs having no trouble in scoring when they got the ball, while.the local pack could not hold the opposition in the loose or line-outs, though they were even enough in the scrums. In the first spell the visitors led by 18 points to nil, tries being scored by Mackay (3), and Oliver, Snodgrass converting three tries. In the second spell Cooke, Robinson (2), Freitas, Mackay, and Snodgrass scored tries, the last-named converting two. M'Oleary scored a try for the 10-? cals. Cooke initiated most of the scoring movements, but Mackay and Mackenzie were- outstanding of the All Black backs, whilst Freitas, Robinson, and Knight were prominent among the forwards. The best local player was Hagar, the rover, who held Porter well, while Dougherty and A. King were also good forwards. O'Brien was the outstanding local back, Houston also playing a fair game.
