RECORD WHEAT CROP
« STARTLING FIGURES OFFICIAL ESTIMATES Australian Press Association. (Ececiveil 12th September, 11.50 a.m.) OTTAWA, 11th September. Tho official Government estimate of the entire Canadian wheat crop is 550,----452,000 bushels. This is the first time that the estimate oC the crop has ever passed the half-billion mark. The largest previous crop was 474,199,000 bushels in 1923. Barley gives a record yield of 144,----575,000. The wheat acreage is 24,114,846, showing an increase of 1,654,692 acres. Oats are estimated to yield 474,242,000 bushels.
