l - Australian Press Association—Doited Service (Received 29th May, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 28th May. Kaye Don, starting from scratch and driving a Sunbeam car, won the 25-mile Gold Star Handicap at Brooklands, averaging 1i.8.36 miles per hour, a Brooklands record. He also broke Parry Thomas's lap record with 131.76 miles per hour. . Last month Kaye Don succeeded in breaking eight British class E records from 5 kilometres to 100 miles. -The following were- the figures:—Distance 5 kilometres, flying start, average speed 118.08 m:ph. (previous record> 95.84 m.p.h); .10 kilometres, flying start, 118.08 m.p.h. (previous record 95.84 metres, standing - start, 112.12 m.p.h. (108.03'm.p.h);. 100 "kilometres, standing 5tart,.112.66 m.p.h. (92.21 m.p.h.); 5 miles, flying-start,• 117.87 m.p.h. (114.23 m.p.ly); 10 miles,' flying start, - 116.72 m.p.h.'(104.89 m.p.h.); 50 miles, standing start,- 112.46 - m.p.h. (108.64 m.p.h.); 100 miles, standing start, 113.55 m.p.h. (109.52 m:p.h.). The last is also an international class E record, beating the 109.52 m.p.h. held by G. Duller (Bugatti).
