COLLISION IN FOG
PAKEHA AND DUTCH BTEAMEIv Australian Press Association—United Serrle*. ■ LONDON, 26th May. Lloyd's reports that the Shaw, Sayillj and Albion Company's steamer Pakeha in a collision with the Dutch steamer Palembang in_ a fog at the entrance to the Thames lost her starboard anchor. The damago is confined to■the vessel's upper forecastle head. The Palembang had her starboard bows severely^ damaged. The Pakeha left Wellington on 14th April for London, via Montevideo. She is a' steel twin-screw steamer of 7899 tons gross and 5055 tons net,-classed 100 Al at Lloyd's. She was built and engined in 1910 by Harland and Wolff, Ltd., Belfast. . ' The Palembang is a Dutch steel screw steamer of 7081 tons gross and! 449S tons net. She was built in 1920 by Bonn and Mees, Rotterdam, and her owners are the Bottcrdamascho Lloyd, Eotterdam. . '
