AMERICAN NAVY
* SENATE REJECTS BILL Australian Press Association. WASHINGTON, 26th May. The Senate to-day defeated the Navy Bill, providing for the construction of fifteen cruisers and one- aircraft carrier, by a vote of 44 to 22. There is little likelihood of the measure coming up again for consideration this session of Congress, for the Senate on Monday will consider a Houso of Representatives resolution asking for Congressional adjournment next Tuesday. Congross will leave much business undone at the adjournment.
