Play in the University-Hutt game was1 fast and open, with forwards and backs ■all: showing up in stages. Early in the game University opened their account, llamson (ex-senibr A player, who has been spelling) landing a penalty goal. .Hutt, however, soon made amends, a try by M'Kay, converted by Berntsen, giving them the lead. " Before half-time the position was reversed, Uniacke scoring a try for University and Ramson converting. After the change-over Hutt evened up with a try by Wood, and later went ahead when Fawcett scored. Another free kick, successfully taken by Ramson, equalised the scoring account, and the game ended: Hutt 11, University 11. Mr. H. Anslow was the referee.
