A keenly-contested game between Johnsonville and Selwyn on the former's ground resulted in a win for the home team. Tries for the winners were scored by Styles,. Sergeant, and Chancy, Shearer converting one and Myers kicking three penalty' goals. Leggatt kicked two' penalty goals for Selwyn. The final score was: Johnsonville 20, Selwyn 6.
