THE PACIFIC FLIGHT
START ON FIRST OF JUNE ' KINGSFORD SMITH'S PLANS Australian- Press Association. (Beceived 25th May, 11 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, 24th May. It is now learned that Captain Kingsford Sniith hopes to commence his flight to Australia on Ist June. At present ho plans to leave for Mills Field to-morrow, accompanied by Lieutenant Ulm. Here the instruments will be adjusted, ,and tho final preparations made. Smith declared that his crew would be composed of himself and Ulm as pilots; Captain Harry Lyon, of Maine, as pavigator, and James Warner, of Kansas City, as radio operator. Upon arrival at Honolulu, tho airmen will-spend a day or 'two resting, and then proceed to the Fiji Islands, where Lyon and Warner will leave tho 'plane, Smith and Ulm continuing alone to Brisbane, according to the present plans. , '
