"THE NEW BOY."
The Hutt Valley Dramatic and Operatic Society is again staging "The New Boy," which was successfully produced at Lower Hutt a few weeks ago. The performance takes place at tho Palace Theatre, Petonc, and tlio proceeds-are being handed over, to the. Mayor's, Unemployment Relief Committee at:.Petone. The play is an exceedingly 'humorous tiiroe-act comedy,: full, of mirthful situations. The Plot centres round an English hoarding-school, ot whichvDr. Candy is the headmaster. Mrs. Rennick, an old sweetheart of Dr. Candy's, finds herself by virtue of having invested her fortune in a company promoted by Roach, a shady director, forced to accept tho hospitality of Dr. Candy, who has invited her to pay him a visit on bis learning that she is a widow. Having i;e-m»rrlcd, and then finding that Dr.' Candy is*averse to-secondimarrlage, she decides to allow her second husband, Mr. Rennick (the New Boy) to be accepted as her son. ■-.■ .
