ORPHEUS MUSICAL SOCIETY.
For the first time In New Zealand will'be rendered Hubert Bath's cantata, ."The Legend of Nerbudda." The Orpheus Musical Society has quickly come to the fore owing to its artistic choral singing, and to-morrow eveningin the Concert Chamber, \ patrons .will hear them at their best. The choir has been well trained by Mr. Len Barnes. Besides introducing new music the society is again, introducing soloists new to the Wellington concert platform. Miss Rita Arnold is a young contralto.of great promise, and her solos In tho cantata give her dramatic powers plenty of scope. THe tenor is Mr., Frank Skinner, whose v.oice is particularly well suited to the music. Mr. Philip Hinge has a fine bass-baritone. voice, and he has a small but Important part, to sing. Mrs. Alice Harris and Mr. Ray Kemp are already very well known for their good work. Miss Gwen Wing, the society's capable pianist, is*the accompanist. The plan is at The Bristol.
