KING'S THEATRE.
"The Taxi Dancer," featuring Joan Crawford, Owen Moore, and Douglas Gilmore, will be shown finally to-night at the King's Theatre. The story deals with Joslyn Poe, who Eoes to New York to Eeclc fame as sl dancer. She is Quickly reduced to poverty, until she is befriended by Le Rogers, a soft-hearted card-sharper. He protects her from unwelcome attentions in her position as a "taxi, dancer," and later rescues her from a tangled tragedy. The supports are good.
A fine cast appears in "Tho Auctioneer," which opens at the King's Theatre for a six nights' run to-morrow. Marion Nixon' plays the leading feminine role. George Sidney gives cth Hughes plays opposite Miss Nixon. Ward Crane is the "menace." Doris Lloyd, English actress, gives a human portrayal of the auctioneer's wife. Sammy Cohen, of "What Price Glory" fame, has a great part. "The Auctioneer" is said to be a recital of everyday people, with New York as the background.
