EMPRESS THEATRE.

The east of "The Falso Alarm," to be shown finally to-night at the Empress Theatre, includes Mary Carr and Kalph Lewis. This tale is ono of thrilling heroism in exciting fire scenes, with a coward performing valorous deeds under severe test. Jacqueline Logan, Edmund Burns, and Montague Love are featured in "Out of the 'Sun hi," a lavish production, telling of a young couple's stormy love affair, with a shooting tragedy to add to their troubles. There are other supports, making delightful entertainment for patrons of all ages.

He is a laugh-maker of the front rank. Pauline Frederick, one of the greatest emotional actresses, has the part of Jeanetto Picto in "Devil's Island," and it provides this brilliant star with an opportunity for the fullest display of her versatility.

"Devil's Island" is the first motion picture ever made with the trench penal settlement at Devil's Island for its background. Many months of research wore spent so that this picture would portray accurately this strange and little known land. The cast includes Marion Nixon.
