QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"Down the Stretch," to be shown finally to-night at tho Queen's Theatre, depicts life behind the scenes at a large raco track, and Is one of tho most entertainius pictures of the year. It is a story of a-jockey, excellently portrayed by Robert Abnnv, who, in.' the face of almost impossible odds, wins the hand of the girl he loves, Marian Nixon. In support are a gazette, scenic, and comedy, with capital incidental music by tllo orchestra.
A double-fealuro programmo commences next Friday at the Queen's Theatre. The principal picture, "Desert Gold," is perhaps the most widely read nnd most popular of the Zauo Grey novels. Tho picture was- taken on tho actual locations, and is packed with action. Director Seitz has made a picture that will be popular everywhere. There Is romance and scenic grandeur. Tseil Hamilton, Shirley Mason, William Powell, and Robert Frazer head the cast. "Heads tip," starring tho popular athlete, "Lefty" Flynn, is a funny story of a wealthy and bored young man who goes looking for adventure in a revolution ridden South American State. It is a comedy-drama with the
"comic opera" atmosphere, and with exciting situations. Kathleen Myers and Kalla Pasha head the supporting cast.
