A meeting of ex-members of the Technical College ■ was held recently to consider the formation of a literary and debating eocioty, to be affiliated with the Technical College Students' Association.
/' Those who attended the meeting showed much interest and enthusiasm in the proponed club, and the motion for • its formation" was carried .unanimously. It was decided that the club should embrace literature as well as dobating, and i£ the attendance proved satisfactory at least ono lecture should be given during the season.. A committee, of five was appointed to. attend to the club's activities, and it was arranged that the first meeting would take the form of a debate on the Government's liability for the present unemployment crisis.
