A POPULAR BREED
AYKSHIBE MEN MEET.
The increasing popularity of Ayrshire 'cattle was referred to with gratification at the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Ayrshire Cattle Breeders' Associa.tion to-day. "I think we may honestly claim that our breed has made fair progress during the year," remarked- the chairman, Mr F. Mills (Hawera). "Wo have reason to congratulate ourselves on the good work dono in connection with the records put up by our representatives, and there is no longer any need for us to make apologies for cattle of the Ayrshire breed." Increasing use was being mado of Ayrshiro bulls for crossing purposes, and moro breeders were being attracted by the hardiness of the cattle under poor conditions.
