SENIOR A GRADE
KARORI AS GOOD WIN
In one of the most gruelling games of the present season, Karori A defeated Hutt by five goals to two and scored its fifth successive victory. Until well on in the first spell, the riversiders more than held their own and the Karori goal was subjected to much attention. Brennan, in goal for .Karori, saved a hard shot from Hoare, but E. Lusty followed in and caught the rebound to net with reverse stick. Iv. Perrin sent Karori away several times but without success, and the spore was unchanged at half-time. After the interval, the Karori forwards swept down the field with an electrifying rush, 1. Watchman being prominent, but F. Xhorpe averted danger for Hutt, and play was transferred to the Karori circle, where Hoare netted. Hutt 2, Karori 0. From that moment on, Karori assumed command, .and within a quarter of an hour had piled on five goals, its forwards running through the Hutt defence irresistibly to not time and again. The Hutt backs faded to connect with, the ball and at no time in the final stages did the team look like scoring. E. Khowlcs (3). Roberts, and T. Watchman were Karori's- scorers. Messrs. E. Lloyd and W. A. Scott were referees.
