. The senior' A matches in Saturday afternoon's hockey competition were by far the best expositions of the game seen this season. Great interest was taken in the meeting of the Karori A and Hutt teams, and it waa expected that a draw would be the probable result. Few anticipated that Karori would remain unbeaten by. inflicting a 5-2 defeat on the suburban team. Wesley carried too many guns for Wellington, being victorious by a solid three-goal margin, and Training College had to play good hockey to beat Karori B by the odd goal in five. Senior B winners were Huia, which team scored its first win of the season, and Karori.
