Such was Chin's story, na outlined by bemor-Sergeant Lander in the Magistrate^ Court to-day, when she pleaded guilty to being «ii idle and disorderly person. It was stated that her employer wns willing to take her'back, a fact which caused Mr. J. i*. Salmon, S.M., surprise. lo enable the Female Probation Officer (Mrs. Glover) to prepare a report, the Magistrate remanded the accused to appear next Wednesday, Counsel's application for the suppression of publication o£ the name was refused.
