WELLINGTON AMATEUR THEATRICAL SOCIETY.

Once more we are to have the opportunity of seeing our local talent in comic opera. The new society is producing in the Grand Opera House that delightful musical comedy, "Floradora," opening on 11th June. Every effort is being made to make a success of this production. Beautiful scenery and delightful costumes have been made. Ihere is a splendid cast a chorus of trained voices, a first-class orchestra, and a ballet, trained -by David Devitt, will dance the ballets. All the principals are members of the society, and they include Lionel Inch, as Doncal whose work is always good. Ray Kemp is considered one of the foremost baritones of the Dominion, and he will have ample scope in the role of Abereord, the lover of Dolores, which part will be taken by Mrs. J. F Woodward, the well-known soprano. Dudley Alexander has the important role of Leondro, the bullying overseer of the farm of Floradora. The other important principals are Pauline Shotlander, as Lady Holyrood; Gretta Stark as Angela; A. Morris Dunkley, as Giltain; and Alf Mazengarb, as Tweedlepuuch Much may be expected of the musical side, under Mr. Leu Barnes, and with Mr. Harison Cook directing the whole production, patrons are assured of a really fine show.
