There is no better loved dog on the screen than Rin-tin-tin, the Belgian police dog that has been featured in many film triumphs. Rin comes to the Empress this week in "Hero of the Big Snows," which provides the proper setting of winter beaut}' for the dog, as well as serving to introduce Annette, the canine wife, and a family of doggies. Don Alvarado is in the role of a young waster who befriends the dog from' the brutal treatment of a cruel man; the animal responds to the affection of .his new owner, and the ne'er-do-well finds in the dog a chum in many adventures.. .A]u:e. The boys' dance, too, and play the bagpipes, with orchestral accompaniment. They submit popular and classic numbers, and are sure to prove.a big draw.
