Tbo Wellington Harmonic Society still baai vacancies for a limited number of subscribing members, and invites music lovers to join up and assist it in bringing before the public the best in Wtrsinn"J6- ■ Under the conductorship of Jlv H. Temple White, the choir has earned a very high-reputation'for. its work, and can always be relied upon to (jive a firstclass programme. The rates of subscription are exceptionally low for the privileges secured, and will be found in the advertising columns. The first conceit ot the 1927 season is to be held on the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, next Saturday, 21st May. An exceptionally good programme has been arranged, including a choral fantasia on Bizet's Grand Opera "Carmen," and n unique piece in "Sumer is jcumen in," which is the earliest example of part singing extant. The assisting artists will be Mrs. Wilfred Andrews (contralto). Mr. Len Barnes (baritone), and the Harmonic Quartette. The box plan opens' on Tuesday next at The Bristol, and in view of this early application for membership is essential.
