CITY LOAN PROPOSALS
NO POLL IN APRIL
Though the proposals for a further city loan, aggregating £758,000, are to be discussed at a special meeting of the City Council on Wednesday afternoon, which will be..,the first occasion on which the council as a whole has had the, proposals before it, it is considered by the Mayor that there is little likelihood of the issue beirig placed before ratepayers in April.
The council, Mr. Norwood remarked to-day, may finalise its discussions in ample time, but it was probably too late in the day for the new Local Bodies' Loans Board to consider the proposals in time to allow the issues to be submitted. .
