DUTY REFUSED
SEAMAN SENT TO ■ PRISON (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) „„ ' nr _ AUCKLAND, This Day. J.homas O Keefe, a fireman on the Port Albany, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for refusing duty on the high seas. Counsel for the agents stated that O Keefe had caused trouble previously and had Been one of the group of agitators. O'Keefe, after the sentence had been passed, said that he would not work on the ship again. The Magistrate then warnedhim that if he persisted in such an attitude he would be liable to a much heavier term of imprisonment.
