SUBMERGED ROCK
EX-NAVAL MAN'S SUGGESTION (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr. . Laurence J. Turtle, R.N.R., writes to the Press stating that he had followed with interest the Northumberland inquiry, and suggests that the method adopted by the Tutanekai in locating the cause of the damage was not at all efficient. To safeguard the interests of vessels and the lives aboard the ship the ocean where the disaster occurred should be most thoroughly swept and resurveyed. This was in fairness to the masters of the vessels which may again come into contact with the same • submerged object.
