MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED
DEATH DUE TO DRUNKENNESS (By Telegraph.> ■•. . . (Special to "The Evening Post") ; ' -DUNEDIN, This Day./ At ths inquest on the death of Albert Nesbitt, on 20th February, as the result of being, thrown from a motoreyele near Outrani, the Coroner (Mr. H. W. Bundle, S.M.), said: "There is. little doubt as to the cause of death. The deceased and a, friend, the witness Thompson, indulged in a drinking bout oh the night of 15th February, after which the deceased was riding a motorcycle, Thompson being on. the carrier. It,was quite apparent that when they arrived at the deceased's brother-in- ! law's place they were very much under the influence of liquor and apparently intended to continue the bout at Middlemarch. . They received no'drink at Outram, but after going seven miles the bicycle skidded, the deceased certainly not being capable at this stage of driving." '.•'■■
The Coroner found that the deceased had died in the Dunedin Hospital on 20th February, the cause of death being cerebral injuries received by being thrown from a. motor-cycle driven by himself on 16th February, near the Lee Stream road.
