QUEEN CARNIVAL
"BRITANNIA" AGAIN IN THE LEAD A further poll of candidates in the Historic Queen Carnival preceding the Grand Military Tournament and Searchlight Tattoo to be held at Newtown Park next week was held to-day, when -Britannia" (Miss Noeline Bevan, the JSavy's League's nominee), who had been displaced for two weeks by Queen Anne" (Miss : Eileen Norwood, the Artillery candidate), again assumed the lead. "Queen Victoria" (Miss Muriel Frazer, the Community Club's candidate) again voted, assuming third place. The romaining candidates so far have not voted, though they are holding a good deal of money.
