TAUMARUNUI, Bth February. The Taumarunui annual-ewe fair to-day brought forward close .on 30,000 sheep, which for the last two days have been arriving in the town from all parts of the district. Sheep grown in the King Country are hardy, and do particularly well when removed to lower pastures, and this fact no doubt was responsibly for the number of outside'buyers present., The sale was dull at the start, but livened some-' what later in ■ the day. The best pricai for four-tooth' ewes was 23s 10d.'. Four" and five-year ewes brought 20s 6d ans: two-tooth ewes 22s 3d. , ... ..'. .. ".
