TRASHY LITERATURE
GERMAN BILL TO CHECK PUBLICATION.
(United Press Association.—Copyright.)' BERLIN, 4th December. Tho Reichstag, by 250 votes to 158, adopted a Bill to check the publication of trashy and immoral books and magazines exercising a prejudicial effect on German youth. Socialists and Communists declare that the 'adoption, of tho Bill is a black day for German culture. Other opponents, including prominent writers, fear tho suppression of works of real literary merit, and declare that well-known classics, end even the Bible, will be banned.
