NEW OBLEANS, 26th Aug.
Damage to crops and buildings in excess of a million dollars and two deaths is the toll of a storm which swept the Eastern Louisiana coast up to the Mississippi from the Gulf on "Wednesday, evening. Details were not learned until Thursday on account of a crippled telegraph service. The packet steamer , Terrebonne, loaded with rice, ■ sank in the Mississippi, near to Donaldson, but the crew of forty reached shore safely.
