COSTLY DAMAGE
A BLOW TO WANGANUI.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, 28th July. Some years ago, owing to wholesale erosion on the Taylorvllle bant, the Wanganui City Council and the Wanganui County Council combined and built a protective wall. Last night's erosion made a considerable gap in this w»H and left a large crack behind the remaining portion, extending for upwards of 100 yards. The damage is a serious matter for the-ratepayers.
