UNREGISTERED REVOLVER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 28th July. George William Smith appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning before Mr.1 H. P. Lawry, 5.M.,( on a charge of having had a revolver in his possession for a longer period than seven days without registering it. Chief Detective Gibson said that Smith had threatened his wife with the revolver several times and threatened to "do for her." The wife called in the police, who found that the revolver had not been registered. A fine of £1 was inflicted, and the revolver w«s ordered to be confiscated.
