Two thousand people attended the reception given by Sif James and Lady Allen to Sir James and Lady Parr. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Amery, Earl,and Countess Jellicoe, Sir Francis Bell, Sir Joseph and Lady Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Ormsby-Gore, and the Agents-General and their wives.
