(Receive^ 6th May, 11 a.m.) : LONDON, sth May. Adverse weather compelled the abandonment of the idea of play for the day. The wicket was covered and remained in excellent condition, bnt the outfiold was wet, though not soft. Captain F. W. H. Nicholls has been chosen as eleventh man for E.3sex.
