LONDON, 4th May. Surrey, playing at the Oval against Hampshire, in the first innings made 243 (Sandham 61, Jardino 79), and in tho second declared with 134 for three wickets (Sandham 84). Hampshire, in the first innings, scored 182 (Bowell 97). Fender took four wickets for flO. In the second innings Hampshire lost four wickets for 117. The match was drawn. Yorkshire, playing at Leyton against Essex, in tho first innings made 359 (Rhodes 132, Oldroyd 65, Waddington 55), and in tho second made C runs for no wickets. Essex, in the first innings, made 110 (Kilner took sis wickets for 43, Macaulay four for 50); second innings, 354 (Perrin 59). Kilner took four wickets for 73. Yorkshire won by ten wickets. Cambridge TJuiversityj playing against Middlesex at Cambridge, in the first innings made 89; Middlesex, first innings 223 (Hcndren 49). The match was abandoned. Playing for, Notts against Northants at Nottingham, Richmond took iive wickets for 29 and Larwood five for 55. For Northants Jupp took six for 47. Notts won. For Warwick against Lancashire, at Manchester, Quaife took four wickets for 15. For Lancashire M' Donald secured five for 55. Match drawn.
